Allen Park — The Detroit Lions were down five players for Thursday's practice, including a new addition to the injury report, defensive end Romeo Okwara.

Lions defensive end Romeo Okwara (95) was sidelined for Thursday's practice.

Okwara suffered a groin injury during the late stages of Wednesday's practice. He joined punter Sam Martin (abdomen), defensive tackle Da'Shawn Hand (ankle), safety Tracy Walker (knee) and defensive tackle Damon Harrison (veteran rest) on the sidelines.

Additionally, four players were limited, including quarterback Matthew Stafford, who continues to deal with hip and back injuries. Linebacker Miles Killebrew was added to the report on Thursday with a head injury.

Meanwhile, guard Joe Dahl returned to practice in a limited capacity. He's been hampered by an ankle injury he suffered late in the fourth quarter against the Raiders last week.
