Missing endangered girl, 3, found safe; mother arrested
A 3-year-old girl reported missing in Pontiac is safe and her mother has been been taken into custody in Georgia, Oakland County Sheriff's officials said Tuesday night.
"Shanita Seay was just arrested by the Atlanta GA Police Department and will eventually be extradited to Oakland County," the Sheriff's Office said in a statement. "Queen Norton is safe with relatives in Georgia."
Other details were not released Tuesday night.
Queen Jaiyana-Eloise Norton was believed to have been taken by Seay, when she allegedly stole the vehicle in which the child was a passenger, according to Michigan State Police and the Oakland County Sheriff's Office. A missing endangered child advisory was issued.
