Ann Arbor’s esteemed Motawi Tileworks will host an outdoor Make-a-Tile workshop from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and an indoor staff art sale (face masks required) from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Oct. 2. Craft your own colorful creation and enjoy learning from Motawi’s experts at the workshop and check out the staff sale’s locally made ceramics, jewelry, woodworking and other goodies. MDC featuring online only Sample Sale

For the first time, Michigan Design Center’s once-yearly and eagerly anticipated Sample Sale will be online only from Oct. 5 to Oct. 14. Sherwin-Williams announces 2022 Color of the Year

Last call for outdoor antiques

There’s still time to enjoy some outdoor antiquing before winter officially sends treasure hunters indoors. Held at the Springfield Oaks County Park in Davisburg on Oct. 9-10, the Michigan Antique Festival is a highlight of the autumn antiquing calendar. Hundreds of vintage dealers and shoppers convene in five barns and countless tents filled with everything from recycled to upcycled, shabby to chic. A Michigan beer garden and classic car show round out the offerings. Hours are 8 a.m.- -6 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Sunday; admission is $10. Novi Home Show back in October

Need inspiration for upcoming home projects? The Novi Home Show, Oct. 8-10  at Suburban Collection Showplace, promises to help you “fall” in love with your home all over again.
