MI Dream Home: Bruce Township home has a 3.75-car garage and a stream in the backyard
Bruce Township — A Macomb County home listed for sale offers privacy, a custom great room and a stream in the backyard.
The owner of the 3,447-square-foot, single-level, ranch-style home on Pine River Drive in Bruce Township is asking $1.2 million.
Tom Zibkowski, an agent with Real Estate One in Shelby Township and the agent for the listing, said the home feels larger than it is.
“The unique feature of this home is it’s a ranch single floor home, but its high roof lines and the elevation to the walk out basement, plus a master bedroom deck that’s elevated and overlooking the stream in the backyard, make it feel like a two story home,” he said.
The house sits on 2.5 acres and is located at the end of a cul-de-sac. It’s owned by Kevin and Kathryn Hess, according to township public records.
Built in 1996, the home has four bedrooms, three full bathrooms and one half-bath.
“But the best feature of this home is it was designed to capture great views from all rooms in the home and the private setting because it sits at the end of the road make it very quiet, peaceful and lots of wildlife often cross thru the property,” Zibkowski said.
The house also has a gourmet kitchen with stainless steel appliances and a large snack bar.
The living room adjacent to the kitchen has a fireplace.
Its master bedroom has a luxury bathroom, a fireplace and a balcony that overlooks the stream. There’s also a sunroom that can be used year-round, a large office and a library.
In addition, the home has a sort of walkout basement with a finished great room with a bar area.
Outside, it has an upper patio with a natural gas fire pit and stairs that lead down to a lower patio.
The home also has a heated, 3.75-car garage with epoxy floors and insulated doors. The garage also has an unfinished room above it.
“This can be a perfect home for a young family as the back yard and walk out basement allow for great play activities, but it also is great for empty nesters and even retired couples looking for a single story home that’s very easy to navigate with minimal steps required to walk thru the home, including only one step up from garage into the entry of the house,” Zibkowski said.
