Mike Curtis is a Michigan native who grew up in Saginaw and went to high school at Buena Vista before moving away to Tennessee for college. He attended Tennessee State University and Middle Tennessee State University for his bachelor's and master's degrees, respectively. He returns to his home state 13 years later to cover the Pistons for The Detroit News.
