Greektown Casino prepares to reopen with new safety procedures

Greektown Casino gives a tour of the safety measures put in place for the protection of guests and employees ahead of their reopening this week, after being closed for months due to the coronavirus pandemic. All tables games will have plexiglass partitions between dealers and players as well as between the players with the maximum number at a table being three.

Guests will immediately be informed of new procedures before entering the casino including temperature stations, video boards explaining procedures including mandatory mask wearing and a no smoking policy as well as a FLIR checkpoint, utilizing a thermal imaging camera that will show a green check to enter if your temperature is within the limit of 100.4 degrees.

In order to maintain social distancing while using slot machines, Greektown Casino's 2600 slots will be cut in half , with around 1300 machines available to use at opening.

With smoking in the casino not allowed, Greektown Casino opened an outside smoking patio overlooking Monroe Street. Besides no indoor smoking, other services closed at Greektown Casino are the hotel, valet, poker as well as no self-serve beverage stations.
